This is the 2nd Edition, (2.6)
This is a whole new interpretation of Bible prophecy that is prewrath, yet posttrib. It shows the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse have already ridden out during the past 2,000 years of wars, famine, and persecution. The author does not merely make that assumption, he analyzes the text to show what the four horsemen are.
We are now in the period of the global birth pains of the earth, and the Trumpet judgments are next.
This book proves there will never be a world government ruled by a dictator, but there will be WW3. The author discovered missiles and rockets described in detail, even the warhead, which is called a "head that kills" with fire, smoke, and sulfur.
And contrary to popular teaching, America is in fact found in Bible prophecy, and is a major player, as you would expect. Even the Statue of Liberty is described as a woman lifted up between heaven and earth and put on a pedestal, with a covering made of soft metal. Yes, it is really in the Bible!
The visions of Daniel also have a new interpretation. The passage in Daniel 9:27 that is supposed to refer to a 7-year peace treaty is being grossly misinterpreted. The original Protestant view of that verse is the correct view.
Daniel's vision of the four beasts and the statue with ten toes both show that there will never be a world government. Those passages are not being correctly interpreted. The Bible text never says that the ten horns will rule the world, but only the fourth beast from which the horns come. Likewise, it never says the ten toes will rule the world, but actually says they will break apart.
The book also proves that the Jews must convert before Christ will return. Yes, it is plainly stated in the Bible several times! Which makes one wonder how the opposite view could become a popular doctrine.
Though this book was not written against the pretribulation Rapture, the correct interpretation of Bible prophecy does prove the pretribulation Rapture theory is false, which is seen repeatedly throughout the book. The author even found the smoking gun that kills the pretrib Rapture theory!
He even presents a new interpretation of the two witnesses, showing that Revelation points us to the Old Testament, and that the symbolic meaning of the two witnesses is Christianity, which is why they cannot be killed until they have finished their testimony, which represents the end of the Gospel Age. They will be killed in a global terrorist attack organized by the beast and false prophet. This book also shows in many ways, that there will not be a world government ruled by one man, the "world" of the Bible is the Middle Eastern / Mediterranean world.
This is Book 1 of 4; Book 1 covers Revelation 4-12 (plus Daniel, Matthew 24, and more). The beast and false prophet are covered in detail in Book 2, and America is proven to be Babylon the Great in Book 3. Book is about nuclear war and the Wrath of God at the return of Christ.
Michael D. Fortner analyzes the text of many Bible passages by examining the Hebrew or Greek, and consulting commentaries such as Barnes Notes on the Bible. He takes the view that the symbols of the Bible have a literal meaning that God wants us to understand, based on Revelation 1. (Book 4 is now available.)

Interesting ideas & Logical arguments
By J4Life5
I thought this book was very interesting. I like to read about what other people think of prophecy in the bible and how it might impact our lives. I thought the information he shared about the Statue of Liberty particularly interesting, as well as Fortner's thoughts on the United States in prophecy.
Contrary to commonly held belief, Fortner believes that not all Christians will be raptured at the same time. Some, he thinks, will be spiritually mature enough while others will experience the tribulation. For me, I try not to get caught up in debates about the rapture and different time lines speculating on when it may or may not occur. Instead, I enjoy reading about different theories and thinking about them. This book provides plenty to think about. I might not necessarily agree with everything that Fortner puts forth in his book, but I greatly appreciated his logical arguments for his viewpoints.
I do think that the most important lesson readers can take from this and other books of this same topic is to be prepared and to keep watch because no one knows the day and the hour. We should be prepared every day.
I can't wait to read the next book when it comes out. If you are interested in Bible prophecy, especially if you ever wonder about the role America plays in Revelation, you will enjoy this book. It has some different perspectives from other prophecy books, but I think that is a good thing. Fortner has a gift of sharing his viewpoint and backing it up with logical arguments. I enjoyed this book very much and will be sharing it with my friends.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from BookCrash in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Read, learn, discuss with others - EXCELLENT!
By Lover of the Word
First, I absolutely agree with Mr Robertson, the previous reviewer. Although I arrived at this book differently, I am also a senior and that was probably my biggest challenge. We old timers are not so easily inclined to accept something radically different from what we have believed/been taught for too many years. The author is patient with us but also offers simple yet inscrutable explanations along the way, plus the encouragement to re-read what he has written. The re-reading would be challenging and growth for the reader simply because we would learn more about something new and important to us and that is always good.
Having said all that I hope it doesn't deter a reader because I would highly recommend this book. In my opinion it almost begs for a small group//SS class read along and discuss as we go. Wow ! That would be the best to engage many others because I'm afraid there are more than a few whose eyes and minds need to be opened. Such open discussion would surely invite our Lord's grace and wisdom imo.

Loose Interpretations
By Amazon Customer
Bible prophecy is written with images or signs, interspersed with facts. Separate the facts from the signs, and the interpretation can be made to mean anything. This author is loose with the facts and discards them altogether when they do not fit his preferred interpretation. He does this under the guise that they are signs which are imprecise by their nature.
I am awestruck by the way in which proper Biblical interpretation shows how God revealed end-time events thousands of years in advance with surgical precision while using exact dates, times and features from signs. I understand that when the text says that the whole world will see something, that it may not mean that every living person will witness it, but that generally it will be seen by a large portion of the world. However, when it says that the final world kingdom will be comprised of 10 leaders (signified by 10 toes of an idol) it doesn't mean just a precise bunch. Enough facts are provided to prevent this kind of loose interpretation. If the symbol and the facts do not agree with the manifestation of the sign on earth, keep looking for the right interpretation.
I purchased this book, because I wanted to see if this author had some thoughts that can shed some new light on what others have already provided; even one new idea would make the purchase worth it. This book is filled with loosely interpreted ideas that are not well supported. Those new to the study of Bible prophecy are more likely to be more confused than informed, and possibly even misled.
Some elderly people can tell when it is going to rain because their knee hurts. Weather analysts may come to the same conclusion by interpreting large amounts of data. However, it is impossible to show how the data provided by God (prophecy) leads to certain conclusions if you arrived at them while relying on Grandpa's knee. This book is the Grandpa's knee interpretation of Bible prophecy, in that it doesn't address all of the evidence, and it even takes liberties with modifying evidence that doesn't fit a desired interpretation.
I would stay away from this book unless you know the facts of End-times prophecies well enough to know when to eat the chicken and spit out the bones. Even then, you will have to research the authors ideas to know if they fit other prophecies in the Bible. Compare to E.W. Bullinger's books to see how prophecy should be validated.
