FLOP!!!! FLOP!!! FLOP!!!

I loved the first and second books in the series - "Surrender" & "Submit". BTW the writer NEVER bothered to let readers know in advance that this was a series - readers found out at the end of book 1. The third book is a COMPLETE FLOP!!! I feel so cheated by the writer. The series was supposed to be about Ari and Rafe. And book 1 & 2 were. But book 3 is divided (unequally) between Ari/Rafe, Lia/Shane and Rachel/Ian and the 3 stories in 1 book is a disaster. The writer, and her publisher / editor, seems to have forgotten details of books 1 & 2 and book 3 is riddled with contradictions and situations that don't make sense time-wise. The Lia/Shane story was so annoying and childish I could not get into it at all. Lia is supposed to be 29 years old but behaves like a petulant teenager. She is incredibly annoying, irritating and illogical. When she slapped Shane I wanted him to slap her back so badly I shocked myself. Shane's character is a carbon copy of Rafe's character - same thoughts, actions, speech patterns even sex moves! The Rachel/Ian story is not as irritating as the Lia/Shane one but it is trite and unbelievable (even by romance books standards, which are pretty low). Royalty??? Really??? If anyone reading this review wants to read a good royalty romance pick up Danielle Bourdon's Latvala Royals Series (the first ebook in the series is free). Fortunately the writer - Melody Anne, gave all her chapters headings so it was easy to skip the chapters related to Lia and Rachel's stories and read only Ari's story. THAT is the only redeeming quality in the book. The Ari/Rafe story could have been told in 2 books, and without the repetitive scenarios and with tighter editing, could have been a GREAT, single, book. Four books smacks of a writer's attempt at financial gain at the expense of the readers. I have read books by Melody Anne before and her Billionaire series (Anderson Family) is quite good but I will definitely not buy any more of her books without reading the customer reviews thoroughly and I absolutely will not buy book 4 in this series that has gone so horribly wrong!!!

you're pissing me off melody anne

Reading this book is a special brand of torture.
I can understand Ari's rejection of Rafe, but Lia's rejection of Shane makes absolutely NOOOOO sense to me. So he told her brother about them? Who the hell cares????????@!!111 What kind of person holds a grudge like that for 2 years? And the grudge doesn't even make sense, everything she says is a contradiction. She complains that Shane is a player, but is mad that he professed his love for her to her brother because she wanted an affair??! Why why why do I have to suffer through their tedious drama? Why couldn't the author create a separate book for them to explore their relationship thoroughly?? I'm not interested in her relationship with Shane in the slightest, mostly because it's so annoying. And her fit about Shane snitching about them to her brother is so old and repetitive I literally skip PARAGRAPHS at a time. This series could have been condensed into one novel, two TOPS. Jesus.
And then where did Ian come from? I'm sorry, but the Prince thing is so far-fetched.It's literally as if I'm reading the same exact story through three different relationships. Three young beautiful women fighting the attraction of some devastatingly handsome billionaire lover. If the author insisted on throwing yet ANOTHER storyline in the mix then the least she could have done was make it original. Why not have Rachel's lover be of the working class? Your average joe. But no, of course she gets rescued (because all her heroines are damsels in distress) by a gorgeous PRINCE. I literally roll my eyes every other sentence. And if you have read any of Melody Anne's other books (I have because a few of them are freebies), you'll notice that she recycles the SAME EXACT STORY.
As for Ari and Rafe, the reason I paid 3.99 AGAIN (Melody, you should really consider advertising a free novel as part of a series before duping readers into buying it only to be left with a cliff-hanger), I'm losing interest. They're taking forever to make-up and I know that sounds so childish but it's true; we all know it's going to happen and a little angst is okay but the author is overdoing it.
I bought this book because I just can't stand not knowing what happens to characters, but I wish I hadn't started this rip off of Fifty Shades of Grey to begin with. The conflicts are forced, the heroines obnoxious, the heros unoriginal and cliche. I'm not even done with the stupid book and I'm thoroughly annoyed.

Melody Anne, What did you do?
If I wanted to read a book about about Lia, Shane, Rachel, and Adrianne, I would. Why oh why would the author patch work quilt a story about secondary characters when the reader was expecting the continuing story of Ari and Rafe?
Book 2 ended with such promise. Seduced could have taken the whole book exploring the journey of Ari and Rafe. But no. The reader is sent on all of these side trips with Rafe's two sisters. Frankly, their stories were boring. The cliffhanger at the end was just stupid.
I would've rather finished up Rafe and Ari's story and given them their HEA and had Rafe's sisters given their own stories as stand alones,than to read this hodge podge of a book.
This book was confusing and made me feel like I was running in circles. It was almost like Ms Anne didn't know what to do with this book. I am disappointed that if the reader wants to know if Rafe and Ari have their HEA, the reader will have to buy book 4.
Not cool, very manipulative of the author.
I will not be manipulated into buying book 4, so bye bye to this series.
