Great!!!

I tried everything to study for this and nothing worked....until I found out about this guide! It helped me out immensely and I don't know what I would have done if I had not found it. It was easy to read, easy to follow along, and it was actually fun to read! I really recommend this to anyone in need of a little help. I know for a fact that you will pass the test once reading this guide.

This is a fantastic review of about 60% of the material relevant to the exam however you need to be sure to use other resources like the NSCA practice exams and the text book to really know what you're getting in to.

Meh....not very informative

Don't waste your money. This is the EXACT same book as the one for the ACE CPT exam, only labeled for the NSCA CPT exam. It goes over some basic things that you'll find in the regular NSCA Essentials of Personal Training. If you're going to get a study guide, get one that is actually published by the certifying agency. This is okay for some basic areas, but in terms of going in depth in a number of areas such as program design, this book doesn't even cover it. Seriously, for the price of this, buy the NSCA Essentials of Personal Training for a few bucks more and spend the additional time studying. This book is not a substitute, nor is it a shortcut from studying. The publisher should have really put some effort into this book for it to be a REAL study guide. In a nutshell, the Test Prep "Secret" is to get the NSCA book and STUDY THE MATERIAL.
