About the Author
Born into an Arabic-Christian family in the city of Haifa, Catrene experienced a diverse upbringing around Christians, Jews and Muslims from all over the world. She studied at a Christian/Latin school for 15 years and then earned a BA in Social Work from Haifa University followed by a MSW from Colorado State University. Moving to the US at the age of 22, she began to explore how her experience could contribute to the understanding of the Jewish-Arab conflict. She currently lives in Lakewood, CO with her two kids. Carrie Glenny grew up the daughter of a pastor, spending part of her childhood in Natal, Brazil as well as Iowa and Illinois. She completed her BA in Ancient History from Northwestern College in St Paul, MN, and obtained an MA in International and Comparative Legal Studies from SOAS in London, UK.
