About the Author
Kristen Ashley grew up in Indiana, but has lived in Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least), but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

oh man...so bummed
By Robert Fredericks
Man, what a let-down. I've enjoyed the majority of the Rock Chick series, and I can't help feel a bit insulted. The plot, as always with a Kristen Ashley book, was fine, but the incessant self-congratulations and school-girl ecstasies over "my man, my family, my friends," (what woman in her thirties talks like that, even in her own head?)made it absolutely impossible to get involved in the story. The author's insertion of her own character didn't bother me that much initially, but as it went on (and on and on)I found myself getting deeply annoyed by the fact that I bought this book, and all the preceding books, only to be bashed over the head repeatedly by the author's self-love. I'm all for standing behind your own work, and I don't even think a little cameo now and then is a problem. But turning it into a central part of the plot and spending pages on reflecting how brilliant and soul-searing the books are is just a big middle finger to the loyal readers who tuned in to complete the adventures of much loved characters.
Apart from that, Ren didn't even resemble his character from earlier books, Ally acted like a 10-year old playing dress-up, and the idea that her super, bad-ass alpha boyfriend, not to mention her brothers, would be okay with her stripping is completely contrary to everyone's character up to that point.
The romance was a cookie-cutter copy of every other one in the series; everyone spoke the same way, acted the same way, to the point that they were all completely indistinguishable from one another.
I'll probably still read Ashley's other series, and even reread the earlier books because I enjoyed them, but as a loyal fan, I'm really let down with this one, and I hope it's not indicative of the way future books by this author will be.

My least favorite KA book so far
By shawnac
Like many of the readers who purchased this book, I've read all of Kristen Ashley's other books and loved most of them with very few exceptions. After reading Revolution, I really don't think Ren and Ally needed their own book. There was nothing about Ren to REALLY love or hate either way, he was just kind of a background character in this book, he was more important to Luke and Ava's story than his own. As far as Ally goes, if you've read the series, you know that the rock chicks are awesomely cool, I didn't need Ally to tell me how cool and sexy and badass she was on every other page. To me, that's mostly what this book was about and I could've done without it and saved $4.99. I'm kind of glad the series is over, because I'm really tired of reading "rock chick" and "hot bunch" in every other sentence. I hope KA goes back to how she wrote in the beginning where we got to know the characters on our own, not have shoved down our throats how awesome and wonderful they are. And I think it's kind of uncool that she put herself in the book. Just sayin.

A Perfect Ending
By Amazon Customer
I'm not sure how Kristen Ashley does it, but every time I read one of her books I am so drawn into the world of her characters I am unable to put it down. The Rock Chicks are by far one of my favorite series of all time and Revolution in no way let me down.
While we got a hint of Ally and Ren's relationship in the last Rock Chick book and in Breathe, one of Kristen's other amazing series, we in no way could understand how amazing their story was going to be. I loved that Ally never sacrificed who she wanted to be for any one. I loved even more that Ren, while making a few mistakes along the way, always apologized straight up when he was wrong and kept the relationship moving forward while giving Ally all of his love and support. There wasn't any guess work with these two. We got to simply sit back and enjoy the ride of their relationship.
Jane's part in the series was always a unique twist for me but the moment my eyes landed on Kristen's name I almost lost it. I always thought the women was a genius. But to put herself and her books in the book was unbelievable. To give Jane that honor...just wow....I was totally blown away. I have to say I would be thrilled if Kristen gave Jane the honor of a book of her own.
While I am sad to read the ending to this amazing group of books, even though an LA chapter of Rock Chicks might be coming, It was a perfect ending. She had given us pieces of their endings in several of the books, but this was perfect in its simplicity. All of them together continuing on with the moto of family, love and togetherness.
I am a total Kristen Ashley fan...meaning I have read all of her books so many times I can quote most of them to you. If you only read the Rock Chicks you are selling yourself short. Truthfully, it all started in a town called Gnaw Bone with Max and Nina in The Gamble. I started with Motorcycle Man and it snowballed from there for me. Nothing you read by this amazing author will ever disappoint. Rock Chick Revolution is just another stellar example of Kristen Ashley's talent.
