Despite his Catholic upbringing and experience as a "saved" Christian in his early college years, Kevin came out as an atheist in the mid-1990s. This is a very well written and easy to understand book for those who have a relative or friend who is Atheist. It is not geared to change your beliefs; it is intended to help you relate and understand someone who may think differently than you regarding a higher power. It will help you accept the fact that your friend/relative is still the same as you but has free thinking which is everyone's right. It will also provide you with discussion topics for future conversations with that person. A worthwhile read!

A beautifully written book

I happened to be in the right place at the right time to have received a free copy of this book and in doing so I decided to get it for my parents. I wanted to read it first just to get a feel of what it's all about. I sat down with a highlighter and highlighted some key points I wanted my parents to acknowledge and understand what is written in this book is what I feel and is something serious to me. This book is so incredibly written, it does not target or bash any religion but merely sheds light on us nonbelievers in a beautifully humble way. I loved every minute reading it and look forward to giving this to my parents and hopefully strengthening the bond between us.
