EDWARD D. ANDREWS (AS in Criminal Justice from Zane State, BS in Religion at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, MA in Biblical Studies at Temple-Baptist Seminary, and MDiv in Theology at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary) is CEO and President of Christian Publishing House. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and Associates for Biblical Research. This is the task that fulfils the requirements set out in Matthew 28.19, 20: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them . . . teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you . . .
Andrew’s EVANGELISM HANDBOOK meets its task admirably. Its subtitle reads HOW ALL CHRISTIANS CAN EFFECTIVELY SHARE GOD’S WORD IN THEIR COMMUNITY, and 23 jam-packed chapters, followed by eight practical appendices leave the new evangelist with more-than-sufficient material to successfully share God’s Word with anyone with whom they have the opportunity, including children. Seasoned evangelists can also benefit from this Handbook because it is up-to-date and bristling full with practical and helpful advice.

Commencing with the need for the evangelist to indulge in daily personal Bible study, Andrews shows how every Christian should be prepared to defend the hope that is within them (1 Peter 3.15). He shows how the evangelist can share that Bible knowledge, experience, and belief with people from all walks of life – people with different personalities, Bible critics, and people of different faiths and beliefs. Even studying with children is covered in Andrews’ vast repertory.
Finishing up with the example set by Jesus, the greatest Teacher of all, Andrews writes a further 80 pages of appendices that are also full of practical advice.
