I wrote this book based on my own experience in Christianity. I grew up being afraid to ask questions about how or why we do things the way we do, because it was often seen as lacking faith or loyalty.
For many years, I believed whatever I was told to believe, and did whatever I was told to do. My once happy and innocent relationship with Jesus soon became a long list of chores and rules I believed I had to keep in order to please Him.
As a result, I struggled with depression for many years; never feeling good enough for anybody, and always feeling rejected. I found myself in a sin-cycle, manipulating and hurting those I loved and cared about the most. Like many Christian, I eventually accepted that it was just who I was--a sinner who would never be free until I got to heaven.
After years of living in darkness, I was finally pulled back into the light. I found out that God isn't pleased with me because of what I do, He's pleased with me because of who I am. And recognizing who I am is what will determine what I do.
I wrote this book to not only teach you the basics of who you are, but to inspire you to ask questions and embrace the eternal journey of learning who He is. Because, if you are created in His image, then a vital part in knowing you, is first knowing Him.
This book is All About Jesus; it's also all about who you are in Him. As the subtitle suggests, the things contained in this book are things you might not otherwise hear about in your typical church service. But they are things that will renew your mind and transform your life.

I've never called a ministry related book a "page-turner" before, but that is exactly what "It's All About Jesus" is. I could not put it down. D.R. Silva's approach to scripture is both genuine and detailed. Guaranteed "ah-ha!" moments throughout. Silva's reputation certainly precedes him. His written work is filled with equal parts insightful scripture analysis and bitingly clever wit. An absolute must-have!

A must read Book.

I was little reluctant to buy this book, but thanks to Paul Ellis. He strongly recommended this book on Facebook. I bought a Kindle copy first. Wow!!! This is the kind of book, I wanted my family to read. So I went again to buy a Paper back copy too. In fact, I am planning to buy few more copies. This is a good medicine for Religious disease.

Refreshing book

Refreshing and thought provoking book. Daniel strips away the layers of religious tradition surrounding our traditional teachings about the character of Jesus and revels the real Jesus.
He reveals the real Jesus, the one who calmed storms not gave them, the one who forgave sins and do not hold them against people, the one who healed all who came to him and never put sickness on anyone.
He has opened and pioneered the way for me to ask questions, the difficult ones and not to be afraid to do so and then to hold on to what is good. I loved this book, highlighted quote after quote and look forward to reading his next book!
